Call for Participation in the 6th ITS Innovation Competition
1-BACKGROUND
Initiated in 2019, the ITS Innovation Competition has been successfully held for 5 years, attracting lots of original entries from renowned enterprises and academic institutions, and achieving remarkable outcomes and substantial influence.
The 6th ITS Innovation Competition is now call for participation to further explore innovative achievements in ITS, consolidate leading enterprises, organizations, and individuals, stimulate innovative thinking, organize industry innovation resources, promote collaborative innovation across technologies, products, models, and business formats, enhance the industry's overall innovation capacity and competitiveness, facilitate the development of new quality productive forces in transport, and drive high-quality development of the transport.

4-CATAGORY
Key Technologies: led by the R&D-capable institutions (research organizations, universities, enterprises etc.) and focusing on AI, big data, traffic control technologies, and core algorithms addressing transport challenges
Innovative Products: led by product-focused enterprises, including hardware devices, software platforms, system solutions, and integrated innovations
Scenario Applications: led by project owners, contractors, or industry leaders and emphasizing industrial implementation and cross-border applications and including domestic case studies and international transportation project deployments

Hosts: Working Committee on Autonomous Driving, Traffic Engineering and Information Technology Branch and Urban Transport Branch of CHTS
6- EVALUATION CRITERIA
(1) The lead participating company is required to be a group member of CHTS or IRF and the main participating delegate is required to an individual member of CHTS or IRF. To be a member of CHTS and IRF or check with the membership details, please email info@chts.cn.
(2) The entries may encompass standalone devices, software applications, algorithms, system platforms, comprehensive solutions, or engineering projects. All submissions must represent independently developed and original works, with participants formally affirming the intellectual property ownership and originality of their entries. Each submission is required to demonstrate novelty in conception, technical feasibility, and tangible practical value. Competing teams and individuals must provide detailed elaboration on the technological merits, implementation advantages, and potential for broader application of their proposed solutions.
7- JUDING AND AWARDS
CHTS will organize an award committee and invite well-known figures from the ITS industry as the judges, and the assigned judges shall be in capacity to give profound opinion on the category’s topic.
The awardees are valued through a two-round assessment process, the first round is online and the second also the final is to be taking place in the 2025 International ITS Symposium, where the grand, gold, silver, and bronze winners for each category are elected.
The entries undergo judging and evaluation through an integrated assessment framework, checking with completeness, innovation, technical advancement and also commercial ability.
